Mr. Cornwell is a character created by Melanie Martinez for her film, K-12. He is portrayed by Scott Young. He was the drama club director at K-12 Sleepaway School.[1]
Life[]
When Cry Baby expresses her discomfort in being placed in a "domestic" role in the school play, instead of wishing to play a strong role such as a film director or the President of the United States, Mr. Cornwell dismisses her and calls in the guards to capture her when she attempts to leave. He forces Cry Baby to play the role she was assigned anyway.
Personality[]
Mr. Cornwell is a conceited, snobbish man. He is very conservative and laughs at the very idea of women having a job outside of being housewives. It is clear that Cornwell is a very sexist and stereotypical type of person.
