''MENace To Society'' (Also known as "Menace to Society") is an unreleased song by Melanie Martinez. It was recorded in the sessions of her third studio album, PORTALS, however, it was scrapped.
A 12-second long snippet of the song was leaked on May 18, 2024. A 10-second long snippet leaked with a watermark on December 25, 2024. On March 11, 2025, a 38-second snippet of the song leaked, and the stylization of the title as "MENace To Society" was also confirmed on that date.
Background[]
The song was registered on Warner Chappell Music on April 28, 2023.[1]
On August 19, 2023, Melanie directly addressed a fabricated screenshot of a comment about the song under @melscurly's Instagram post, stating[2]:
"That comment is fake. Menace to Society had nothing to do with any film. It was just a song that I didn't think fit the album. Stop spreading fake comments please."
