Unconfirmed Songs

Over the years, several titles of unreleased songs which were not registed in any repertoire came to surface being only confirmed by reliable leakers or came from trusted sources.

This section includes all the titles mentioned over the years that were not confirmed so far.

• On October 12^th, 2019, five titles were leaked by a reputable insider known as BlackoutZone that were: Zzzz, Rocking Horse, Ring Pop, Coloring Book and Drowning, all produced by Kinetics & One Love. Both Zzzz and Rocking Horse later leaked in full.
  • In November 2019, the same insider revealed Cooties, which also later leaked in full.
  • BlackoutZone also mentioned Seesaw and AK-47 although the dates they were confirmed are unknown, but started being mentioned on LanaBoards in mid-2020. He also mentioned having an unreleased music video with the file name "Soup and Salad" however the video has no audio, but he said she “was clearly singing”.
    • Coloring Book was first mentioned by Melanie on her Tumblr on July 27^th, 2015, where a fan asked which other titles were considered for her debut album. She also mentioned two other titles in the same post, Animal Crackers and Toy Chest, which also could be Cry Baby outtakes too. It is also possible that Animal Crackers could have a sample of Animal Crackers in My Soup, originally by Shirley Temple.
    • Soup and Salad was also mentioned by Marc Kelly in a post on his Instagram which contained a photo of a clapperboard with this title stylized as Soup + Salad. It also included Melanie and Josh McKie's names credited, however, he later deleted the post for unknown reasons. Marsalis Wilson also answered a question of fan who asked about this, saying that it was a fake title that they used for the film to prevent it from leaking. The behind the scenes of the movie were also called "Soup and Salad".
• On March 30^th, 2020, a reputable insider named 2Heads reconfirmed Zzzz, Rocking Horse, Ring Pop, Coloring Book and Drowning. The same day he also confirmed a Dead to Me writers demo and a Silence Says writers demo. He also confirmed he had Rocking Horse's instrumental, which later leaked.
  • On October 4^th, 2020, 2Heads mentioned Twins referring to it as Twins (Final), meaning that there is a demo and a final version of the song.
  • On October 10^th, 2020, 2Heads mentioned that there is a studio Night Mime final. Also in the comments of a YouTube video with Night Mime rough mix the uploader confirmed there’s a second mix with studio verses and a studio bridge.
• Heartbeat was mentioned by a LanaBoards user in early 2018. Another LanaBoards user mentioned Candy Love mid-2018.
  • It is possible that Heartbeat could be the 4th Unknown Song, as the tweet mentioning the song implies this song title. It also possible that Candy Love could be from the same sessions too, since in another tweet Melanie mentioned another song referrecing to it as the "sweetest song" that she ever written, other than the fact that Rey Reel confirmed that they worked in more than one track.
• Toothbrush was mentioned in early September 2020 as a possible song featured on After School before the official tracklist came out, which could indicate that it could be a outtake of it.
• Gluestick and Eraser were mentioned on LanaBoards on February 18^th, 2021. It is possible that Gluestick could have been an earlier version of Glued.
• Strawberry Boy has been a circulating title for a while. There's a theory: Melanie had a tattoo of a strawberry with the words Strawberry Boy on it in 2016. She later covered Strawberry Boy up with leaves. Some people believe she covered up the name, because it was a song made for her sophomore album K-12, but was later scrapped.

• A Thousand Words, Dear Porcupines, I Scream, Mistakes, Papercut, Unhappy Meal, Where Do Babies Come From? and Zzzz are all considered explicit.
  • Although Dear Porcupines is explicit, Melanie usually performed the song without the swear words.
