"Intervals" is an unreleased song by Melanie Martinez. It was written for her Unreleased Acoustic EP, however it was later scrapped.
Background
This was recorded during Melanie's acoustic era before she was signed to a label. It was meant for an acoustic ep.
Theme
This song is possibly about a breakup that Melanie went through in the past. Melanie could do anything with this boy, and she loves him a lot. However, in the song Melanie sings "You live so far away from me", likely meaning that this boy moved away and they had to break up. Another theory is that the boy was visiting New York (where Melanie lived at the time) and Melanie met him. However, he lived in another city far away and they couldn't be together.

Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Everything you've got in my head
Had melted in my heart like butter on bread
And I, I'm so weak for you
What should I do?
I linger on every word you speak
I meditate on them as I fall asleep
And I dream of me and you
It's all that I do
[Chorus]
The size of my heart
Grew larger with you
The circles on these maps
The planes that I flew
Time Isn't a problem
When you're already through
Could find someone closer boy, but they aren't you
[Verse 2]
Plates start to shatter and I start to weep
Cause baby you live so far away from me
And what, what should I do? Which road leads to you?
Calling your name and wondering if you
Could hear me with all of the trains that pass through
But no, you're too far to hear my call
[Chorus]
The size of my heart
Grew larger with you
The circles on these maps
The planes that I flew
Time isn't a problem
When you're already through
I could find someone closer boy, but they aren't you
[Bridge]
Please forgive me, you don't know how sorry I am
Never was one to play games but why don't you understand
This sadness, they say is a gift but they lied
Can't help but to feel its a curse in my eyes
[Chorus]
The size of my heart
Grew larger with you
The circles on these maps
The planes that I flew
Time Isn't a problem
When you're already through
I could find someone closer boy, but they aren't you.
