Depop

Depop is a social shopping website based in London, with additional offices in Milan and New York City. It was founded in 2011. Melanie Martinez has used the site to sell merchandise and vintage items.

Store[]

During some months around 2015, Melanie opened a store to sell some clothes she once owned in the past, along with some hand painted pieces by herself. ^[1]

Milk Man[]

Milk Man was a brand created on Depop by Melanie and Miles Nasta. They released two packs of items on the account: the Ice Cream Pack and the Milk Pack.

Ice Cream Pack[]

The Ice Cream Pack was the first pack released under the brand name. It included two iron-on pins: strawberry ice cream with rainbow sprinkles and an ice cream man. Only 170 of the packs were made, costing $20 each. This pack was designed by Melanie, under the name "Milk".

Milk Pack[]

The Milk Pack was the second pack released under the brand name. It included 4 stickers: a pink bunny, a gray cat drinking milk, a skeleton feeding a baby milk, and a cow with a milk man. The bunny and kitty were made by Melanie under the name "Milk" and the cow and man along with the skeleton feeding a baby were made by Miles under the name "Man". Only 150 packs were made, costing $18 each.

Toy Angel[]

On April 3rd, 2019, Melanie created an account called @toyangel. The purpose of the account was to sell vintage items, such as dolls, glass figurines, and stuffed animals, since Melanie decided it was "time to part ways with these magical creations". 10% of every purchase is donated to the Third Wave Fund, an activist fund.
