"Bones Are Blue" is an unreleased song by Melanie Martinez. The song was written for the 2013 EP, however the project was later scrapped. It was then repurposed in February 2014 for Cry Baby, but was scrapped from the album.
An acoustic worktape of the song recorded and produced by Melanie on her laptop was uploaded by Melanie's manager, Ron Shapiro, to his SoundCloud account in 2013.[1][2] The Cry Baby version leaked on May 17, 2021, and the acoustic demo leaked on June 4, 2021.

According to private documents obtained via Doveman, this song was written about Christina Aguilera.[3] She was the only judge who didn't turn around for Melanie while she was on The Voice, and she received backlash for allegedly bullying Melanie throughout her time on the show.
