"Bittersweet Tragedy" is a song by Melanie Martinez, featured as the fourth and final track on her first and second extended plays, Dollhouse and Pity Party. The song was also meant to be included on her debut album Cry Baby, however, it was scrapped along with Dead To Me.
Theme
This song is about the end of Melanie's relationship with a boy. The relationship was uneven, and there were moments when she was only focusing on the sweet parts. However, she realized how bitter and sour the relationship really was, and consequently, they broke up. Melanie stated that "it is the final song on Dollhouse because it sums up the whole EP".
