Melanie Martinez Wiki
The following has a Wiki of their own: AJR Wiki.

AJR is an American indie-pop band formed in Manhattan, New York City in 2005. The band consists of brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met. They are well-known for their songs "Weak", "Sober Up", and "World's Smallest Violin".

Career[]

AJR formed in 2005, when the Met brothers started to write and produce their own music in the living room of their apartment. They performed covers around Central Park and Washington Square, but currently create and perform original music inspired by some of their favorite artists.

On August 22, 2013, the band released their debut single "I'm Ready", which samples Spongebob Squarepants repeating his famous phrase "I'm ready". Previously, Ryan Met had sent the song to around 80 different celebrities, including Sia, who sent the song to her manager. Her manager then contacted Steve Greenberg, who is now the group's co-manager.

Following the release of "I'm Ready", AJR released their debut extended play (EP), 6foot1 on December 20, 2013. The EP ended up later being renamed to match its lead single. Infinity, the band's second EP, was released on September 23, 2014, which was preceded by the release of the single "Infinity".

In 2015, AJR opened for several dates of Melanie Martinez's final leg of the Dollhouse Tour. The band's debut album, Living Room, was released on March 3, 2015. Following this, the band released their second album The Click in 2017, which featured the singles "Weak", "Drama", and "Sober Up".
