Wow.. I cannot believe it. It's been a whole year since After School released, time is flying by so fast.. I'm honestly just shocked.. But overall, happy 1st Birthday After School, you'll always be my favorite Mel work, and Numbers will always be my favorite Mel song.

Hi! Today I will be sharing with you my thoughts on the “After School” EP’s songs. Also, this just is a reminder that this is my personal opinion, don’t attack me just because I’m sharing my own opinion. Enjoy! Have a great day/night.

Notebook

”Notebook” is a good song. When I first listened to the EP, this was by far my favorite song. The beat, the meaning and everything about the song is lovely. I would probably rate this song by 4/5. It’s also such a different song from the others too.

Test Me

”Test Me” is my favorite song in the whole EP. I can’t wait for the official music video coming soon. I love the meaning, it’s really relatable to me and other people who also listen to the song to. The beat is amazing, I love the beginning of the song as well. I’d rate this song a 5/5.

Brain & Heart

”Brain & Heart” isn’t my all time favorite. I do like the meaning, but the beat isn’t my favorite. The song could’ve done better but I still would listen to it if I had too. I’d rate it a 2/5.

Numbers

”Numbers” is another decent song. I wouldn’t rate it very high, but I do like beat. I also like the beginning line, “count up your portion, count up your checks, feeding your fam while you're comin’ at my neck.” I wasn’t a big fan of this song when I first heard it but it’s definitely somewhere up there now. I’d rate it a 3/5.

Glued

”Glued” is a really pretty song. I love the lyrics, meaning and the beat. It’s by far one of the prettiest songs that Melanie Martinez has ever sung. It kinda reminds me of her other song “Recess” in her K-12 album. The melody is also really pretty too. I’d rate this song a 4/5.

Felid Trip

”Felid Trip” is such a good song. It’s definitely in the 4/5 - 5/5 category. I love the spiritual meaning to this song to. It’s amazing! I’d probably rate this song a 4/5, it’s really close to being a 5/5.

The Bakery

”The Bakery” is such an amazing song. I remember the first time I heard the snippet I knew it was definitely going to be one of my favorites. The meaning is amazing, the beat is amazing and so are the lyrics. Everything about the song is good. I’d rate this song a 5/5.
