Antecedentes[]
La canciรณn "TUNNEL VISION" fue escrita en Hawรกii en febrero de 2021 junto a Kinetics y One Love. Melanie describiรณ esa experiencia como estar "rodeada de ranas coquรญ, el sonido de la lluvia golpeando el techo y una conexiรณn pura". La canciรณn fue escrita para describir la etapa de atravesar un tรบnel con poesรญas e imรกgenes familiares que ablandan la transiciรณn hacia el otro lado; al mismo tiempo, tiene un doble sentido con el que otras personas pueden identificarse. La canciรณn formรณ parte de un incidente de hackeo de Dropbox durante ese mismo aรฑo, lo que llevรณ a Melanie a pensarse si la canciรณn deberรญa ser descartada o no. Finalmente, se mantuvo en la lista de canciones porque no pudo escribir una canciรณn mejor con el tema de "visiรณn al tunel". Melanie habรญa escrito muchas canciones con el mismo tรญtulo antes de esta, como resultado de su deseo de crear una canciรณn con ese tema en particular. Un ejemplo notable es la breve demo "Tunnel Vision".

Video Musical[]
El video comienza con La Criatura descendiendo del cielo, presumiblemente despuรฉs de los eventos de "VOID". Se levantan del lugar donde cayeron, hipnotizados por las luciรฉrnagas que vuelan. Las antiguas ruinas de un edificio los rodean. Estรก cubierto de vegetaciรณn. En el centro de las ruinas hay un pozo resplandeciente, tal vez un tรบnel. Cry Baby camina hacia el pozo. Caen hacia atrรกs, entrando en un mundo de videojuegos.
Cry Baby ingresa al mundo de los videojuegos con un nuevo atuendo y un nuevo lugar, similar al mundo en el que viven. Un corazรณn flotante levita sobre ellos con la palabra "Enter" escrita. Un clicker de varita selecciona el corazรณn en la pantalla. Cry Baby ingresa al mundo digital, empujando la barrera que los bloquea de esta nueva ubicaciรณn. Entran. Cuatro bailarines entran detrรกs de ellos y comienzan a bailar en una plataforma flotante.
A lo largo del vรญdeo, la apariencia de Cry Baby cambia sugerida por los corazones flotantes. Se les dan dientes afilados por un momento ("Dicen que son demonรญacos"), asรญ como trenzas largas ("Dales cabello largo"), piernas largas ("Los hice altos y delgados") y aumentan su sonrisa. ("Los hizo sonreรญr todo el tiempo"). Sin embargo, todos los cambios vuelven a ser como antes. Al igual que sus cambios de apariencia, su entorno tambiรฉn alterna. A su alrededor crecieron enormes flores ("Dales sus flores") que luego les prenden fuego ("Llรฉvatelas"). Despuรฉs del coro de la canciรณn, la plataforma flotante se fija al suelo junto a una colina. Cry Baby corre cuesta arriba y mira a los bailarines. Los bailarines comienzan a perseguirlos colina arriba ("Persรญguelos para tomar una foto"). Cry Baby les impide usar sus poderes y los bailarines caen colina abajo. En lugar de una orden en forma de corazรณn, aparece una declaraciรณn cuadrada que estresa a Cry Baby. ("Los hiciste enojar mucho") Cry Baby hace un agujero en el bosque para esconderse. Despuรฉs de sus acciones, el comando los insulta ("Llรกmalos perra por ser humanos"). Se sientan adentro y comienzan a llorar. Sus lรกgrimas llenan la habitaciรณn. Se drena el agua ("Drenar agua") y Cry Baby asoma la cabeza por un agujero en el suelo. Un mazo intenta golpearles la cabeza, pero Cry Baby lo esquiva milagrosamente. Sacan la cabeza por otro agujero y comienzan un juego de Whac-a-Mole.
Cry Baby y los bailarines vuelven a bailar en la plataforma flotante, esta vez con ojos brillantes, solo para hacer referencia al tรญtulo de la canciรณn. La cรกmara pasa del tรบnel a un bosque. Los bailarines estรกn alrededor de Cry Baby con ellos en el centro. Cry Baby cae en un agujero donde se muestra "GAME OVER" en la pantalla. La cรกmara se enfoca, revelando a Fan Girl como la jugadora del juego. Frustrada, golpea el teclado, lo que provoca que su computadora no funcione correctamente y se incendie. El vรญdeo termina con Fan Girl saliendo de su habitaciรณn debido al incendio.
