Esta canción trata sobre una mujer que es cazafortunas, que es una persona que entabla relaciones románticas por dinero en lugar de amor. El narrador (posiblemente uno de sus amigos) está tratando de advertir a un hombre sobre cómo esta mujer sólo sale con él por su dinero.
Enumera las razones de por qué ella es una cazafortunas y da pruebas de que en realidad no lo ama. Sin embargo, piensa que el narrador solo está bromeando y lo ignora hasta que descubre que todo el tiempo estuvo en lo cierto. Al final, queda desconsolado y sin dinero.
